Jeff Trotter, CEO, is a pioneer in the security field in Indiana. With over 28 years of law enforcement experience coupled with the experience of being a former Chief has set the ground work for one of the most successful security companies in Indiana.
Jeff has worked in various factions of law enforcement. He began his career in 1987 and immediately attended the Indiana law Enforcement Academy. Jeff worked in the Tactical Unit, Street Crimes Unit, and Started the Special Response Team (SRT). Jeff was promoted to Assistant Chief in 2000 and remained in that position until January 2005. He is a proud veteran of the United States Army.
In June of 2001 Jeff was the Unified Commander of Police Operations for the execution of Timothy McVey, the Oklahoma City Bomber. The execution took place at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Terre Haute, Indiana. During this event, Jeff had the unique insight of how public and private partnerships were the key to solving security issues. Jeff found that utilizing Certified Police Officers bridged the gap in training, response, and professionalism that was lacking in some security situations. Jeff saw the immediate need for experienced uniformed and non-uniformed police officers working hand in hand with civilian security to provide safety and security like none ever seen in this area.
In 2005 Jeff started Professional Security Enterprises and began working security details for different events in the Terre Haute area. Then in late 2005 Jeff saw the need to expand his company to include healthcare facilities. He signed a contact with Terre Haute Regional Hospital and then eventually with Union Hospital.
Jeff’s focus now is the growth of PSE through providing excellent protection, training, customer service and professionalism to the clients that has become the trademark of his company.
